MyPlas gains ISO accreditation

CAPE multi-material recycler MyPlas has gained ISO standard accreditation, making it the second South African plastics recycler to achieve the international standard qualifi cation. MyPlas received its certificate on 3 January, confirming that it operates a quality management system which complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 for the recycling of postconsumer, post-industrial and factory waste polyolefin materials. The first SA recycler to achieve ISO accreditation was Extrupet, the Johannesburg-based PET recycler.

Addis wins Gold with Mypolen and Myplas at the 2017 SAPRO best recycled product awards

Well known plastics brand Addis, won a Gold award in the category for “Post consumer recycled content” at the 2017 Best Recycled Plastic Awards at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.  They impressed the judges with the quality of the watering can having used Mypolen HD supplied by Myplas.

Kulula in-flight magazine Kuluma, visited the Myplas plastic recycling plant in Bellville to learn more about how plastic is being recycled in South Africa.  Justin Nurse from “Laugh It Off” spent the day learning about the different types of plastic, the processes involved in recycling the different plastics and how the public can contribute to sustainability and the environment.
